Zenless Zone Zero surpasses $50 million in revenue within the first 11 days of its release
HoYoverse's new action RPG Zenless Zone Zero generated nearly $52 million from player spending on mobile within the first 11 days after its official release on July 4th, according to data from AppMagic.
Players in China and Japan contributed the most to this revenue, with China accounting for 47% and Japan for 27% of player spending. The United States ranked third in revenue, followed by South Korea and Taiwan.
Globally, daily revenue on the App Store and Google Play peaked on July 5th at $7.4 million. However, spending has declined for nine consecutive days, falling to $3 million on July 14th.
Zenless spenders
While $52 million in 11 days is a significant achievement, Zenless Zone Zero hasn't matched the initial performance of its predecessors. Genshin Impact generated $90.1 million and Honkai: Star Rail hit $108.6 million in the same post-launch period.
Nevertheless, Zenless Zone Zero ranks among the most lucrative launches of 2024, outpacing Supercell’s Squad Busters. The biggest launch this year, however, is Tencent and Nexon’s Dungeon & Fighter Mobile in China, which is estimated to have accumulated $500 million in its first month.
