Century Games' Whiteout Survival has surpassed $1 billion in gross revenue, achieving this milestone a year and five months after its launch.

According to Sensor Tower, Whiteout Survival is the third fastest game released in 2023 to reach this landmark, joining Monopoly Go! and Honkai: Star Rail.

Despite a modest start with just over $1 million in revenue in February 2023, the game has shown consistent growth, surpassing $100 million in revenue by June 2024, marking a 14% increase from the previous month.

Replicating Previous Success

Whiteout Survival targets a new audience with its innovative 4X gameplay. This, combined with user acquisition strategies inspired by casual and hypercasual games—which historically drive higher downloads than midcore games—has contributed to its success.

The United States leads as the game's top revenue region, accounting for 35% of total revenue, followed by South Korea, Japan, and Taiwan. Saudi Arabia ranks as the game's second-highest country by downloads.

Whiteout Survival's success reflects the growing popularity of emerging genres such as coin looters and 4X strategy games.
