The LEGO Group appoints Ebi Atawodi from Google and Ilkka Paananen from Supercell to its board
Atawodi and Paananen, known for their expertise in startups, gaming, digital technology, and social impact, have joined the LEGO A/S Board of Directors to contribute to the company's efforts in reaching more children, strengthening its brand, and adapting to the digital era.
Atawodi's previous roles include serving as Netflix's Director of Product Payments EMEA and Head of Product at Uber, where she played a pivotal role in shaping global payment experiences across Uber's platforms. Her proficiency in engineering, design, communication, and management enables her to create sustainable products that utilize storytelling to make a positive impact.
Paananen, renowned for leading Supercell to remarkable success with games like Clash of Clans and Clash Royale, also engages in mentoring and investing in entrepreneurs through his founder office, Illusian, and co-founded the We Foundation to measure social impact. Apart from his work at Supercell, Paananen has founded ventures like Wondershop, a game studio focused on imparting valuable life skills to children, and serves as a board member for several companies.
Thomas Kirk Kristiansen, Chair of the LEGO A/S Board of Directors, expressed delight in welcoming Atawodi and Paananen to the board, highlighting their wealth of relevant experience.
