Netmarble's Solo Leveling: Arise has surpassed $100 million in revenue
Netmarble Games' Solo Leveling: Arise has surpassed $100 million in gross revenue just three months after its launch.
According to Sensor Tower, the game, which debuted in May 2024, quickly became the #1 hack-and-slash game, #2 action game, and #14 mobile game worldwide by revenue on the App Store. It outperformed notable titles such as PUBG Mobile, Genshin Impact, and Clash of Clans.
This achievement underscores the IP's ability to transition fans across different mediums and attract new audiences. Despite a decline in monthly revenue, the game has now exceeded $100 million in total earnings.
South Korea Leads Revenue
Solo Leveling: Arise has enjoyed notable success in South Korea, where players contribute 33% of its total revenue, the highest share globally. This is consistent with the IP's South Korean roots and setting, as the game is based on a popular web novel that evolved into a Korean webtoon and anime.
The United States follows as the second-highest grossing region, contributing 19% of sales.
Asia has been a major contributor to downloads, with India and Indonesia leading the way. The US, Brazil, and South Korea rank #3, #4, and #5 in downloads, respectively.
A report by Niko Partners also highlights that over 90% of South Korean gamers now play games across multiple platforms, driven by a 30% year-over-year increase in mobile gamers also playing on consoles.
