NetEase generated $3 billion in revenue from games in Q1
Chinese tech giant NetEase has reported a 7% increase in revenue from its gaming division for the first quarter of 2024. For the quarter ending March 31, the company brought in RMB 21.5 billion ($3 billion) from its games arm.
A significant portion of this revenue, 78.6%, came from mobile games, reflecting a slight year-on-year increase. NetEase attributed this growth to the strong performance of titles such as Eggy Party, which have been instrumental in driving net revenue.
The continued success of NetEase's mobile games underscores the company's strategic focus on mobile platforms, which has proven to be a key driver of its financial performance. With mobile games accounting for the majority of its gaming revenue, NetEase is well-positioned to capitalize on the growing popularity of mobile gaming in China and beyond.
As the company looks ahead, it remains committed to enhancing its game offerings and leveraging its robust mobile presence to sustain and accelerate revenue growth.
